Pursuant to House Rule 31:
It shall be the duty of the Committee on Public Works and Highways to consider all
matters pertaining to the development and repair of public highways; the Highway Fund; the
Turnpike Fund; buildings and capital construction; the capital budget; matters pertaining to state
bonding authority; capital expenditures related to the improvement and preservation of the coastline;
the care of state memorials and monuments; and such other matters as may be referred to it.
