It shall be the duty of the Committee on Public Works and Highways to consider all matters pertaining to the development and repair of public highways; the Highway Fund; the Turnpike Fund; buildings and capital construction; the capital budget; matters pertaining to state bonding authority; capital expenditures related to the improvement and preservation of the coastline; the care of state memorials and monuments; and such other matters as may be referred to it.

Personal Biography
Lou is a landlord and part time Nashua School Department Employee, living in Nashua with his college aged daughters.

Lou had a 24 -year career at the MBTA in Boston, where he was on the engineering and maintenance staff, working on the communications infrastructure of the subway and rolling stock. This included maintenance of the radio system, fiber optics wiring and cabling, mechanical systems, leased of 3rd party vendors. Major projects included new station construction, modifications/updates, first generation automated fare collection system, operations control center, new rail and LRV cars, RFPs and specifications to name a few. Lou took the early reduced pension in 2016.

Lou was a Selectman in Nashua's Ward 7
Lou attends City of Nashua aldermanic and school board meetings as his schedule allows.
