Personal Biography
My wife Kathi and I have lived in Hampton for 48 years, and all five of our sons have attended the Hampton public schools.
We both have been active in the community. I was vice commander of American Legion Post 35, was a member of Hampton School Board, was president of HYA, and chair of host committees for USS Hampton and USS Virginia.
At 38, I was commissioned as a civil engineer officer in the Naval Reserve and served 25 years before retiring as a captain. I've spent most of my life on both the civilian and military side working construction management and engineering projects.
On the civilian side I worked on powerplants, roads and bridges.
In the military I was assigned to Naval Construction Units mostly with the Seabees, including a deployment to Haiti, responding to Hurricane Katrina and a deployment to Kuwait, Iraq and a little to Afghanistan.
I'm proud of my service in Concord where for the past eight years I have been assigned to the Public Works and Highways Committee.
