CHAPTER Mec 500 INITIAL LICENSE APPLICATION FEES, INSPECTION
FEES, LICENSE RENEWAL FEES, AND MISCELLANEOUS BOARD FEES
REVISION NOTE:
Chapter
Saf-Mec 500 titled “Initial License Application Fees, Inspection Fees, License
renewal fees, and Miscellaneous Board fees” was originally adopted by Document
#10849, effective 7-1-15.
Pursuant
to 2021, 91:82, effective 7-1-21, which amended RSA 153:27-a, the Mechanical
Licensing Board was transferred from being a unit within the Division of Fire
Safety of the Department of Safety to a unit within the Office of Professional
Licensure and Certification (OPLC). The Board still had its own rulemaking
authority under RSA 153:28, RSA 153:29, and RSA 153:29-a to adopt rules, but
with the approval of the Commissioner of the Department of Safety. Pursuant to 2022, 314:21-23 and 25, effective
7-1-22, the Board still has its own rulemaking authority under RSA 153:28, RSA
153:29, and RSA 153:29-a to adopt rules but with the approval of the Executive
Director of the OPLC. The existing rules of the Board were numbered with the
rule prefix subtitle “Saf-Mec”, but all rules would
eventually be renumbered with the rule prefix title “Mec” to indicate the
transfer of the Board from the Department of Safety.

readopted with amendment and renumbered Saf-Mec 501.05 titled “Late Renewal and
Reinstatement Fees”, in Part Saf-Mec 501 titled “Individual Licensing Fees”, as
Mec 501.05 titled “Reinstatement
Fees.” Document #13608 also
readopted with amendment and renumbered Saf-Mec 502.03 titled “Late Renewal and
Reinstatement Fees”, in Part Saf-Mec 502 titled “Mechanical Business Entity
Fees”, as Mec 502.03 titled “Reinstatement Fees.” Document #13608 also readopted with amendment
and renumbered Part Saf-Mec 504 titled “Fees for Other Services” as Part Mec
504.
The
chapter heading, other part headings, and all other existing rules in Chapter
Saf-Mec 500 which were not in Document #13608 were subsequently renumbered with
the rule prefix title “Mec” as editorial changes during the process pursuant to
RSA 541-A:15, I of preparing the rules in Document #13608 for certification by
the Board. The former prefix is
indicated in the source notes.

Fitting Licensure Fees. The fee for
an initial plumbing or fuel gas fitting license shall be as specified in Plc
1002.25.
