405-C:1 Purpose. –
This chapter provides authority for 2 or more nonprofit and for-profit providers and servicers of child care, day care, foster care placement, and behavioral health services to participate in a joint self-insurance risk coverage arrangement covering liability risks. The joint self-insurance arrangements authorized under this chapter permit eligible entities to jointly self-insure liability risks, jointly purchase insurance and reinsurance, and contract for risk management, claims, and administrative and legal services.
