SB 151 FISCAL NOTE
AN ACT relative to the taxation of telecommunications poles and conduits.
FISCAL IMPACT:
The Department of Revenue Administration indicates this bill will increase state education trust fund and local revenue by an indeterminable amount in FY 2004 and each year thereafter. There is no fiscal impact on county revenue or state, county and local expenditures.
METHODOLOGY:
The Department states that the effect from the implementation of this bill will be to increase the statewide and local property tax by an indeterminable amount by taxing additional assets. The amount is indeterminable because the Department does not have an inventory, with values of the equipment, including wires, fiber optics, and switching equipment, that would be taxed.
