HB 631 FISCAL NOTE
AN ACT relative to emergency access to Interstate 95 in the towns of Hampton and Hampton Falls and making an appropriation therefor.
FISCAL IMPACT:
The Department of Transportation indicates this bill will increase state turnpike fund restricted expenditures by $300,000 in FY 2004. There will be no fiscal impact on state, county and local revenue or county and local expenditures.
This bill appropriates $100,000 in turnpike funds for the fiscal year ending June 30, 2004 to the Department of Transportation for the purposes of this bill.
METHODOLOGY:
The Department estimates that to build the two median crossovers specified in this bill it will cost $300,000. The cost per location is $150,000, which includes the design, permit and the cost to construct each crossover. The Department assumed that construction would be by contract, not turnpike forces, and removal of one or more existing crossovers which for safety reasons could be needed, are not included in the estimated cost.
