STATE OF NEW HAMPSHIRE
In the Year of Our Lord Two Thousand Three
AN ACT allowing a certain former state employee to apply for accidental disability benefits.
Be it Enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court convened:
171:1 Retirement System; Authorization for Application for Disability Benefits; Carol Cushing.
I. Notwithstanding any other provision of law to the contrary, Carol Cushing, a former employee of the state of New Hampshire, is authorized to file an application for accidental disability retirement with the New Hampshire retirement system. The application made pursuant to this act shall be made within 30 days of the effective date of this act.
II. Within 120 days of the date of filing an application for accidental disability retirement, Carol Cushing shall be required to file all documentation necessary to process her application for accidental disability as required by the retirement system.
III. Upon meeting the conditions of paragraph I and II of this act, the application shall be considered on its merits by the New Hampshire retirement system board of trustees pursuant to RSA 100-A:6, for the purpose of determining entitlement to an accidental disability retirement allowance.
171:2 Effective Date. This act shall take effect 60 days after its passage.
