METHODOLOGY:
The Department assumed this bill will become effective on October 1, 2003. The Department stated that in order to implement this bill they will require a part-time Statistician II, labor grade 19 and a part-time Statistical Clerk III, labor grade 12 with associated funds for office equipment, training, and supplies for both. Additional costs will include modifications to the vital records server software and database, modifications to the web-enabled software, additional software and forms for non-hospital based providers, additional training and technical support for providers using the system, and current expense money for postage, printing and reporting the information. The training, technical support and software modifications will be performed by contractors.
