SB 151-FN-A - FISCAL NOTE

AN ACT transferring and appropriating funds from the highway surplus account to the department of safety for additional staffing of evening and midnight patrols by current New Hampshire state troopers.

FISCAL IMPACT:

The Department of Safety has determined this bill will increase state highway fund expenditures by $950,000 in FY 2002. There will be no fiscal impact on state, county and local revenue or county and local expenditures.

This bill appropriates $950,000 from the highway fund surplus account to the Department of Safety in FY 2002.

METHODOLOGY:

The Department stated this bill appropriates $950,000 from the highway fund to provide additional staffing of evening and midnight patrols by current state troopers on overtime for FY 2002. The Department assumes any unexpended and unencumbered funds remaining at the end of FY 2002 will lapse.
