STATE OF NEW HAMPSHIRE
In the Year of Our Lord Two Thousand Two
AN ACT allowing emergency medical service personnel to be group II members of the New Hampshire retirement system.
Be it Enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court convened:
1 New Subparagraph; Retirement System; Group II; Emergency Medical Service Personnel. Amend RSA 100-A:1, VII by inserting after subparagraph (f) the following new subparagraph:
(g) An emergency medical service provider licensed under RSA 153-A employed by the state or a public agency of the state.
2 New Section; Emergency Medical and Trauma Services; Retirement System Status of Personnel. Amend RSA 153-A by inserting after section 11 the following new section:
153-A:11-a Retirement System. Licensed emergency medical services personnel employed by the state or by a public agency of the state which is an employer for purposes of the New Hampshire retirement system under RSA 100-A, shall be eligible for group II state employee retirement benefits authorized under RSA 100-A.
3 Effective Date. This act shall take effect 60 days after its passage.

The Office of Legislative Budget Assistant is unable to complete a fiscal note for this bill as it is awaiting information from an agency.
