HB 1452-FN - FISCAL NOTE

AN ACT establishing the New Hampshire homeland defense service ribbon.

FISCAL IMPACT:

The Office of the Adjutant General has determined this bill will increase state expenditures by an indeterminable amount in FY 2002 and each year thereafter. There will be no fiscal impact on state, county, and local revenue or county and local expenditures.

METHODOLOGY:

The Office states the estimated cost for a single service ribbon is 40 cents and $12.00 each for a medal set. The Office is unable to determine how many military members might be eligible for this decoration since the definition of Homeland Defense is unclear, and it is difficult to determine what contingencies might arise, and the total number of New Hampshire National Guard activation and support. As a result, the Office is unable to determine the fiscal impact of this bill.
