HB 1330-FN - FISCAL NOTE

AN ACT requiring state agencies to respond to fiscal note requests in a timely manner.

FISCAL IMPACT:

The Governor's Office states this bill may increase state expenditures by an indeterminable amount in FY 2002 and each year thereafter. There will be no fiscal impact on state, county, and local revenue or county and local expenditures.

METHODOLOGY:

The Governor's Office states they are unable to determine the exact cost of this legislation due to the many variables involved. Variables may include, but not be limited to, the complexity of the request, the labor grade of staff completing the estimation, the number of staff assigned to the request, whether overtime would be needed to complete the other work of the staff, and the competing workload for staff's time.

The Administrative Office of the Courts state this bill will have no fiscal impact on the judicial branch.
