AN ACT relative to the pollution prevention program.
Be it Enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court convened:
74:1 Findings. The general court finds that the pollution prevention program established in RSA 21-O:15-22 has been effective in providing technical assistance to business and industry, resulting in reduced volumes of hazardous waste generated and substantial savings to participating companies. Further, it has encouraged enhanced voluntary compliance with environmental laws, and provided opportunities for companies to work cooperatively with the department of environmental services.
74:2 New Paragraph; Pollution Prevention Program; Use of Hazardous Waste Cleanup Fund. Amend RSA 147-B:6 by inserting after paragraph V the following new paragraph:
VI. The department may use the fund to support the pollution prevention program established under RSA 21-O:15 through RSA 21-O:22.
74:3 Prospective Repeal Date Extended. Amend 1996, 8:10, I to read as follows:
I. Section 9 of this act shall take effect July 1, [2002] 2010.

I. RSA 147-B:7, V, relative to the authorized use of the hazardous waste cleanup fund.
