HB 1239-FN-A - FISCAL NOTE
AN ACT relative to off-track wagering by certain establishments.
FISCAL IMPACT:
The Pari-Mutuel Commission stated they are unable to determine the fiscal impact on state, county and local revenue and expenditures in FY 2003 and each year thereafter.
METHODOLOGY:
The Pari-Mutuel Commission indicated that after careful review they are unable to determine with any accuracy a potential fiscal impact for this bill. The Commission has further indicated that no other state has a similar model as proposed in this bill, and the Commission has no data to build a revenue/expense model. The Commission stated agency costs would depend on the number of applications and approved licenses the Commission would issue. Costs to the agency may include new software development and in-state travel.
