HOUSE BILL 237
AN ACT relative to filling a vacancy in an alumni trustee position on the board of trustees of the university system.

This bill requires that a vacancy in an alumni trustee position be filled in accordance with the bylaws of the alumni association at the institution with which the position is associated.

STATE OF NEW HAMPSHIRE

AN ACT relative to filling a vacancy in an alumni trustee position on the board of trustees of the university system.
Be it Enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court convened:
3:1 State College and University System; Terms of Trustees; Vacancies. Amend RSA 187-A:14, II to read as follows:
II. Each member, except the student member, shall hold office until a successor is appointed and qualified. The appointment of successors for the filling of vacancies for unexpired terms shall be by appointment or election in the same manner as the original appointment, except that a vacancy in an alumni trustee position shall be filled in accordance with the bylaws of the alumni association at the institution with which the position is associated.
3:2 Effective Date. This act shall take effect 60 days after its passage.
