SB 38 -FN - FISCAL NOTE
AN ACT relative to increasing the compensation of the public employee labor relations board.
FISCAL IMPACT:
The Public Employee Labor Relations Board has stated this bill would increase state general fund expenditures by $14,400 in FY 2002 and each fiscal year thereafter. There will be no fiscal impact on state, county and local revenue or county and local expenditures.
METHODOLOGY:
The Board states this bill would increase the per diem compensation of board members from $50 to $150 per day. The Board estimates an annual per diem cost of $7,200 at the current rate of $50 for 144 days. This bill would increase the per diem rate to $150, resulting in an increase of $14,400 annually ($100 rate increase X 144 days). The Board is not a 125% board, and the increase in expenditures would have to be funded by increasing general fund appropriations.
