HB 312-FN - FISCAL NOTE
AN ACT increasing the agent fee for fish and game licenses.
FISCAL IMPACT:
The Fish and Game Department has determined that this bill will increase state fish and game restricted revenues and local revenues by $10,908 and $1,496, respectively in FY 2002 and each year thereafter. There is no fiscal impact on state, county and local expenditures or county revenue.
METHODOLOGY:
The Department projected the state revenue increase using the number of FY 2000 licenses sold at the Fish & Game facility in Concord (10,908 licenses x $1 = $10,908). The Department projected the local revenue increase using the number of licenses sold at the 10 towns that are license agents (1,496 licenses x $1 = $1,496). The Department assumed the number of licenses sold would remain the same in FY 2002 through FY 2005. The agent fees retained by the non-governmental agents would also increase but that amount was not determined.
