SB 428-FN-A - FISCAL NOTE

AN ACT relative to the development of certain public health initiatives and making an appropriation therefor.

FISCAL IMPACT:

The Department of Health and Human Services states this bill will increase state restricted expenditures by $1,000,000 FY 2001. There will be no fiscal impact on state, county or local revenue or on county and local expenditures.

This bill appropriates $1,000,000 from the Health Care Fund to the Department of Health and Human Services in fiscal year 2001 for the purposes outlined in RSA 167:71.

METHODOLOGY:

The Department states the interest earned on the Health Care Fund in the current biennium will be approximately $1,000,000 greater than the amount appropriated in the operating budget. One half of the additional interest will be earned in FY 2000 and one half will be earned in FY 2001.
