AN ACT relative to the contributory retirement system of the city of Manchester.

STATE OF NEW HAMPSHIRE
In the Year of Our Lord Two Thousand
AN ACT relative to the contributory retirement system of the city of Manchester.
Be it Enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court convened:
1 New Section; Contributory Retirement System of the City of Manchester; Authority to Amend Through Municipal Charter Amendment Procedure of RSA 49-B. Amend 1973, 218 as amended by 1976, 24 and 1999, 103 by inserting after section 20 the following new section:
218:20-a Authority to Amend Through Municipal Charter Amendment Procedure. The city of Manchester is hereby authorized to amend the retirement system established by this act by way of the municipal charter amendment procedure as provided by RSA 49-B.
2 New Paragraph; Home Rule - Municipal Charters; Scope of Authorization; Municipal Retirement Systems. Amend RSA 49-B:2 by inserting after paragraph IV the following new paragraph:
V. The establishment of a form of town or city government under this chapter may include provisions for the establishment, administration, and amendment of a municipal retirement system.
3 Effective Date. This act shall take effect upon its passage.
