HB 1345-FN - FISCAL NOTE
AN ACT relative to the salary of licensed practical nurses employed by the state.
FISCAL IMPACT:
The Department of Administrative Services has determined this bill will increase state expenditures by $49,697 in FY 2001 and each year thereafter. There will be no fiscal impact on county and local expenditures or on state, county and local revenue.
METHODOLOGY:
The Department has stated a change in salary grade from labor grade 13 to labor grade 17 would represent an increase of approximately 4.7% for each employee who is currently classified as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN). There are currently 38 LPN's, with a combined annual salary of $952,602. FICA and retirement will add approximately 11%. $952,602 x .047 = $44,772.29 + 11% = $49,697.25.
