Committee Function:
It shall be the duty of the Committee on Ways and Means to examine and consider the state of the treasury; to consider and report on all bills and resolutions relating to raising money by a state tax and the apportionment of same; matters relating to taxes and fees on tobacco; all dedicated funds except for the highway and turnpike funds; state fees, and all methods of raising revenue for the state; and such other matters as may be referred to it. The Committee on Ways and Means shall report to the House in the form of a resolution its estimates of state revenues on a periodic basis.

Personal Biography
I have lived in New Hampshire since 2001 working at NH Public Television as the Chief Development Officer for 10 years. My wife and I moved from Iowa where we both grew up and graduated from college. From 1986 to 2001 I was Director of Community Relations and Development at Iowa Public Television. I hold a BA from Coe College in Cedar Rapids, Iowa and a MS in Journalism and Mass Communication from Iowa State University where I currently serve on the Greenlee School of Journalism Advisory Council. I also serve on the Granite Y Board of Directors, the Great Bay Stewards Board of Trustees and was a past board member of Leadership New Hampshire and New Generations' Inc.
Local Government Involvement
While in Barrington I served as Trustee of Trust Funds from 2006 to 2011, and a Selectman from 2011 to 2015. I served as state representative in Barrington from 2013 to 2014. I have served on the Greenland Trustees of Trust Funds since 2016 and was elected to the NH House from Greenland/Newington in 2016. In 2016 I was elected to the Greenland/Newington House seat and in 2022 I was elected to the Greenland/Rye House seat.
