Committee Function:It shall be the duty of the Committee on Finance to examine and consider the state of the treasury and the budget; subjects concerning the financial interest of the state; all measures carrying appropriations of state money except claims against the state and such other matters as may be referred to it. Prior to the report of the Finance Committee to the House, the Speaker may refer the budget of certain self-sustaining state agencies to appropriate committees for study and recommendation.

Personal Biography
Dan is an angel investor and retired computer engineer. He graduated with a PhD in
electrical engineering and computer science from MIT in 1986, worked for four years
as an assistant professor of computer engineering at UC Santa Cruz, and then was a
software development manager for 8x8, Inc. in Santa Clara, CA.
Dan and his wife,
Rep. Carol McGuire, have been married 43 years, moved to New Hampshire in 2005
and have lived in Epsom since 2006.
He's a board member of Granite State
Taxpayers and the Josiah Bartlett Center and is chair of Suncook Valley GOP.
Dan is
an avid bridge player and has been NH state champion five (non-consecutive) times.
Local Government Involvement
Has served several terms on the Epsom Planning Board and one term as Trustee of
the Trust Funds.
