Committee Function:It shall be the duty of the Committee on Finance to examine and consider the state of the treasury and the budget; subjects concerning the financial interest of the state; all measures carrying appropriations of state money except claims against the state and such other matters as may be referred to it. Prior to the report of the Finance Committee to the House, the Speaker may refer the budget of certain self-sustaining state agencies to appropriate committees for study and recommendation.

Born in St Louis Mo.
Graduated from Celina High School, Celina Ohio
Served as a Vista volunteer in Chicago, Illinois and Manchester, NH
Graduated from University of New Hampshire, class of 1971. Degree in Child and
Family Studies.
Graduate work at Wheelock College in Early Childhood Program
Administration.
Worked as a Head Start teacher and Executive Director of Merrimack Valley Day
Care Service from 1973 to 2018.
Married to Nicholas Wallner and mother of two daughters and grandmother to three
grandchildren.

First elected to the NH legislature in 1980 and now serving in my 23rd term.
While in the Legislature, served on Health and Human Service Committee,
Children Youth and Families Committee, Appropriations and Finance Committees.
Served two terms as Majority Leader and two
terms as Deputy Democratic Leader.
Served on the Fiscal Committee.
