Personal Biography
For the last 20+ years, I have lived and worked in Durham with my husband, our teenagers, and our goofy dog. I love living in a close-knit community, being active in the Oyster River School System, and supporting local businesses. I cherish Durham’s amazing location with easy access to the beach, the mountains, and the cities.
Prior to my time in Durham, I lived and taught in Maryland. I am a graduate of Clark University (BA-English) and The Johns Hopkins University (MAT-Secondary Education-English)and hold a Certificate of Advanced Graduate Study from the University of Maryland Baltimore County (CAGS in ISD).
I also have been appointed to the Commission for Holocaust and Genocide Education and serve on the Advisory Council for the Elephant In The Room Series (R) of the New Hampshire Theatre Project.
Local Government Involvement
I am new to being a member of local government, but have volunteered at local elections as a ballot clerk and deputy clerk since 2004.
