Committee Function:
It shall be the duty of the Committee on State-Federal Relations and Veterans Affairs to consider all matters pertaining to the National Guard and other military or veterans’ organizations within the state, potential actions by the U.S. Congress which will have a major impact on the state and the New England region, and all proposed resolutions petitioning the Congress on any matter; to maintain communication with the congressional delegation; to serve as a liaison between the New Hampshire House and the United States Congress; emergency management; and such other matters as may be referred to it.

Personal Biography
With over 18 years in community-based non-profit work both on and off-the-clock, Christal has devoted herself to engaging with her community and giving back to those around her. Over the course of her career, she has worked for and with a wide range of non-profit organizations. Christal’s approach to policy is informed by her worked and lived experiences; she strives to design programs that drive progress within communities and address vital needs. She currently serves on the Executive Board of the Nashua Democratic City Committee and on the Executive Board for Boston Swing Central, a lindy hop, dancer run non-profit. In her free time, she can be found on the dance floor, attending concerts with her husband, in the mountains skiing, or hiking with their dog Millie.
Local Government Involvement
Her seat in NH House of Representatives is currently Christal's only appointment to public office. However, she has been a long-time volunteer for many campaigns and causes.
Miscellaneous Information:
Christal grew up in McPherson, Kansas; however, during grades 8-11, her family lived in Rochester, Michigan. They moved back to McPherson the summer prior to Christal's senior year of high school. After graduation, she studied psychology at the University of Kansas, earning her BA. Christal moved to Nashua in 2017, finding a home she was proud of, and a state she is proud to serve. She was married on November 10th, 2024.
