It shall be the duty of the Committee on Finance to examine and consider the state of the treasury and the budget; subjects concerning the financial interest of the state; all measures carrying appropriations of state money except claims against the state and such other matters as may be referred to it. Prior to the report of the Finance Committee to the House, the Speaker may refer the budget of certain self-sustaining state agencies to appropriate committees for study and recommendation.

Personal Biography
I worked as an urban and regional planner for 44 years and finally served as the executive director and CEO of the Southern New Hampshire Planning Commission. I worked as a planner in San Francisco, New York City, Washington D.C., Beloit, Wisconsin, and Park City, Utah. In the next chapter of my life, I focused on being an artist (watercolor painter), playwright, screenwriter, and children's picture book writer. Since 2022, I have served on the New Hampshire State House of Representatives.
Local Government Involvement
From 2004 – 2016, I served as Executive Director/Chief Executive Officer for the Southern New Hampshire Planning Commission, Manchester, New Hampshire. I also partnered with the Greater Manchester Chamber of Commerce on the Metro Center (regional economic development) and Green Committee (energy conservation and sustainability), served on the Board of Directors of NeighborWorks of Greater Manchester, Piscataquog Land Conservancy, Public Policy Alliance for Housing, New Hampshire Charitable Foundation's Growth and Development Roundtable, and New England Association of Regional Planning Councils. I served as Chair for the New Hampshire Association of Regional Planning Commissions Executive Directors and Served as vice-chair and Chair of the New Hampshire Rail Transit Authority.
