Committee Function:It shall be the duty of the Committee on Labor, Industrial and Rehabilitative Services to consider all matters relating to labor, wages, and workers' compensation including unemployment compensation and incentive programs, collective bargaining and binding arbitration; matters relating to job retraining and employee rehabilitative services and other matters relating to balancing the rights of employees to the needs of the industrial sector; and such other matters as may be referred to it.
Personal Biography
Brian Labrie currently serves as the House Assistant Majority Leader.
Brian is a lifelong New Hampshire resident born in Nashua and a 1992 graduate of Bishop Guertin High School. He holds a degree in Business Administration from Southern New Hampshire University. He and his wife, Kerry, chose Bedford as their hometown, drawn by its strong community values and unique suburban footprint. Brian proudly serves the town of Bedford in many capacities, offering decades of professional experience, community involvement, and leadership to his community.
As the owner of two successful Southern New Hampshire-based businesses—B.H. Labrie Landscape Co., Inc. (34 years) and Drop One Portables, Inc. (5 years)—Brian and his wife employ over 30 individuals, contributing to the local economy and supporting community growth. Beyond his professional endeavors, he is deeply involved in civic and recreational initiatives. A devoted animal advocate and rescue dog owner, Brian is also passionate about supporting veterans and seniors, embodying his commitment to protecting the vulnerable.

Brian’s hobbies and interests reflect his love for adventure, innovation, and advocacy. He is passionate about real estate development, investing, weight training, scuba diving, golf, competitive target shooting, motorcycles, snowmobiles, ATVs, metal fabrication, and restoring classic cars. In 2009, Brian’s creative spirit led him to design The American Chunker, a pneumatic pumpkin cannon that set a long-distance world record. This invention gained national recognition during its decade-long feature on Discovery Channel’s hit series Punkin' Chunkin'. Brian’s expertise in engineering and storytelling also earned him a guest host role on Mythbusters and inspired him to author a best-selling book chronicling the Punkin' Chunkin' era. Suffice it to say, Brian is no stranger to New Hampshire’s state fruit—the pumpkin!
