Committee Function:It shall be the duty of the Committee on Ways and Means to examine and consider the state of the treasury; to consider and report on all bills and resolutions relating to raising money by a state tax and the apportionment of same; matters relating to taxes and fees on tobacco; all dedicated funds except for the highway and turnpike funds; state fees, and all methods of raising revenue for the state; and such other matters as may be referred to it. The Committee on Ways and Means shall report to the House in the form of a resolution its estimates of state revenues on a periodic basis.
Personal Biography
Born and raised in Concord, Brian Cole carries a deep connection to New Hampshire’s roots and traditions. The son
of John and Jeanne Cole, Brian’s childhood was anything but ordinary. With his father serving as a New Hampshire
State Trooper and Park Ranger at Pawtuckaway State Park, Brian had a unique upbringing with a 5,500-acre
"backyard" as his playground, fostering a love for nature and community service.
A proud graduate of Raymond High School’s Class of 1990, Brian pursued higher education at Southern New
Hampshire University, earning an Associate’s degree in Accounting and a Bachelor’s degree in Economics and
Finance. In 1998, he made Manchester his home, where he’s been a dedicated member of the community ever since.
For decades, Brian demonstrated his entrepreneurial spirit as the owner and operator of JC International, a thriving
wholesale tool company that supplies retailers across the United States. After years of success and leadership, he
retired in 2025 as CEO of this multimillion-dollar enterprise, leaving behind a legacy of innovation and growth.
Now in his second term as a State Representative, Brian is driven by a commitment to public service, bringing his
business acumen and dedication to building a stronger, more prosperous New Hampshire for generations to come.

cultures. At home, he finds joy in the kitchen, whipping up delicious meals for family and friends, blending flavors with creativity and
skill. These activities reflect his love for adventure, camaraderie, and the simple pleasures of life.
