Personal Biography
I moved to NH in 1979 just after graduating from Framingham State College (now
University). I have spent all my adult life in Sullivan County. I enjoyed a rewarding
career as a dietitian, diabetes educator and eating disorder specialist, initially hospitalbased then in private practice running my own small business. I have strong family
values with close relationships to my husband, adult daughters and sons-in-laws and
cherished young granddaughter. We enjoy an active lifestyle - bicycling, nordic skiing,
generous vegetable garden and hiking. My Dad was a social studies teacher and my
maternal grandmother (1895-2000!) was a suffragette - much of my respect and
appreciation for democracy comes from them.
Local Government Involvement
Co-led the 2022 successful campaign to restore the school budget in Croydon after it
was cut 53% following an unexpected motion at the annual school meeting. Public
education is the foundation of an informed society. The legislature needs to meet its
court-ordered obligation to fund an adequate education for all children as well as
continuing to improve the quality of education.
