Personal Biography
I am a 56-year-old resident of Deerfield, NH, where I have lived for over a decade with my son who attends UNH, and my dogs.
I enjoy the great outdoors of New Hampshire as much and as often as possible. I love camping, fishing, hunting and just taking a walk through the woods.
I am a disabled veteran of the United States Army and getting around isn't as easy as it once was, but I fight every day not to let it hold me back. That includes enjoying my Harley Davidson Fat Boy at every opportunity.
I have over 30 years experience in criminal and regulatory law enforcement, having served as both a uniformed officer and an investigator.
I have carried my passion for the law and the rights of the people over to my service in the House of Representatives, where I have served as both the Vice Chairman and Chairman of the House Criminal Justice and Public Safety Committee.
Local Government Involvement
I was recently elected to my 3rd term on the Deerfield municipal budget committee and currently serve as its Vice Chairman.
Miscellaneous Information:
Given my background, I have a special interest in legislation that has to do with criminal justice, protecting children, fish and game, and veterans causes. I am currently the chairman of the House Veteran’s Interests Caucus where we work in a bipartisan manner to work on legislation to assist our veterans, as well as serve as a point of contact and information center for veterans in New Hampshire who need assistance. I am currently beginning my 3rd term in the New Hampshire House and have served as the Vice Chairman of the Committee for Executive Departments and Administration, and the Vice Chairman of the committee for Criminal Justice and Public Safety. I was also recently appointed by the Governor to the New Hampshire Law Enforcement Accreditation Commission.
