Committee Function:It shall be the duty of the Committee on Health, Human Services and Elderly Affairs to consider all matters concerning the health of the inhabitants of the state; vital statistics; medical and related professions; the administration of welfare activities by the state government; matters relating to the special needs of our elderly citizens and such other matters as may be referred to it.
Personal Biography
Originally from California. Berkeley (Physics) then Johns Hopkins (Biophysics) and finally Univ. Rochester (MD) where I stayed on the Orthopaedic Faculty 5 years before moving to Concord (1982) and practiced Hand Surgery 32 years retiring in 2014. With a lovely wife and three daughters, we have thoroughly enjoyed NH and surrounds with ocean sailing, skiing and hiking and the offerings of Boston.
Local Government Involvement
Served in state government via appointments to membership on a variety of legislative commissions and workers compensation advisory council. Advocated for legislation germaine to medical and health care policy through NH Medical Society. Served similarly nationally at the House of Delegates for the American Medical Association.
