Committee Function:It shall be the duty of the Committee on Executive Departments and Administration to consider matters pertaining to the general administration of state laws and changes therein; matters of policy pertaining to the executive departments; matters relating to the New Hampshire Retirement System; matters pertaining to the administration of professional licensing; review of performance audits, and such other matters as may be referred to it.
Personal Biography
11th term in the NH House
A native of Philadelphia, John graduated from St. Joseph’s University with a major in
physics. He earned a fellowship to MIT where he earned a Master's in Nuclear
Engineering. He worked on nuclear submarines at the Portsmouth Naval Shipyard until
he chose to leave to run a business he had started with fellow grad students while at MIT.
After selling that business, he financed several housing developments before discovering
his true calling, that of a teacher. Starting as a substitute at Salem High, he eventually
became a full-time teacher of Latin, Spanish and math, retiring after 15 years. He
continues to teach one section of Latin while serving his eleventh term in the NH House.
