Piotr Kukula

Dear Mr. Chairman and Members of the House Education Funding Committee, My name is Piotr Kukula, and I am a sophomore currently residing in Bedford, New Hampshire. I am writing to express my support for Senate Bill 491, which meets the base standard for allowing individuals my age more education opportunities to expand their knowledge about the world, furthering their careers and chances at a better future. Education has always and should continue to be the single number one priority for the youth in our society. As a government, the state of New Hampshire should consistently prioritize the needs and interests of those in the K-12 system who wish to learn more and gain other experiences besides standard education, which SB491 covers excellently. By allowing students using Education Freedom Accounts (EFAs) in grades 9–12 to use EFA funds to pay for tuition and transportation for approved regional Career and Technical Education (CTE) programs, our legislators are setting many in my generation up for success by representing and opening access to the vast number of career opportunities students have in the modern age. As there is no direct state revenue change, nor are grant appropriations affected by the bill, Senate Bill 491 successfully balances using our money and bureaucracy wisely and delivering our next generation a quality education they deserve. I strongly urge the committee to vote "Ought to Pass" on SB 491. Thank you for your commitment and consideration regarding this pivotal legislation. Sincerely, Piotr Kukula, Bedford, NH
