I strongly oppose this amendment. I do not want to restrict or in any way inhibit the ability to explore and have future legislative bodies pursue potential revenue sources. Putting a choke-hold on any opportunity for revenue is short-sighted and regressive. Slashing budgets and shifting more costs to local property tax payers can only go so far. The people of NH deserve fiscal responsibility and a functioning government providing needed services and infrastructure for its citizens, despite the goals of those who support this bill. True fiscal responsibility requires, at minimum, maintaining all options for future revenue.
