Our family uses a car to do many errands around town, but we are able to do a lot on foot or by bike. It's alarming to be walking along a street where the speed limit is 25 mph and see cars race by much faster. Is it really advantageous for them to arrive at a stop sign or stoplight a few seconds earlier? Passing this bill would send a signal that we care about the safety of all citizens: walkers, cyclists, wheelchair users, motorcyclists, and motorists.
