Caleb McGill

Thank you members of the House Judiciary for reading my testimony in opposition to this bill. My name is Caleb and I live in Bow. I oppose SB459 because it is harmful to members of the public by separating areas such as locker rooms and prisons based on sex assigned at birth rather than the gender a person lives as. The sets transgender people, and people who do not perfectly conform to standard gender conventions up for targeting and harassment in both the men's and women's sections of these facilities. Strict definitions of biological sex are not supported by the research on the subject and it is harmful to us all to legislate as if it is. It is for these reasons that I strongly oppose SB459. Thank you Caleb McGill
