New England Women's Solidarity supports the establishment of sports categories based upon biological sex. Women and girls deserve fairness in their own sports. They should not be forced to sacrifice their earned honors and opportunities to another group with unfair physical advantages. We would, however, like to see this bill amended to use stronger language that protects the establishment of private single-sex spaces for both biological sexes. Everyone deserves privacy, safety and dignity in spaces where they are particularly vulnerable such as locker rooms, changing areas. restrooms and showers.
