Dear Committee Members, I am a community member in Dover with work throughout the state of New Hampshire. I work in public health and volunteer with organizations that help businesses create more welcoming spaces for every person in our state. I strongly oppose all legislation that targets our most vulnerable community members, transgender people and those of us in the LGBTQIA+ community. There is overwhelming evidence that this type of disciminatory legislation creates unsafe spaces for LGBTQIA+ people - not anyone else. It emboldens hate and mistreatment. We are all just trying to get by in our daily lives, and these attacks divide our communities and create undue barriers to accessing public spaces. We need to be a leader in our region by being known as a state that supports every single person that lives here - that way attracting more people, business, and opportunities to New Hampshire. Right now, we are alienating our residents and our neighbors, falling prey to the divisive and unnecessary rhetoric that gets us no where. Please put your efforts towards actually helping the people you were elected to serve. Ellie Masson
