I oppose this bill because I believe it will undermine the wellbeing of some of New Hampshire’s most vulnerable young people. The prison housing provision similarly endangers transgender inmates, who face well-documented risks of harassment and violence. Rather than solving a demonstrated problem, this bill singles out a small population for differential treatment under the guise of fairness and safety.
