I strongly oppose this bill because it will take away an amazing harm reduction tool and option that has helped so many people whether it be for chronic pain conditions, help with addiction to get off of actual deadly substances, and it also helps with depression, anxiety and PTSD amongst many other things. I have PTSD, anxiety disorders, thyroid cancer, RA and degenerative joint disease and I have no discs left in my lower back, hips and knees and I can barely walk without the help of kratom and its alkaloids like 7oh, it has given me back my quality of life and allowed me to actually work again to provide for my family as a single mother. You cannot overdose on 7oh, it has a ceiling effect, it’s not possible! This substance needs regulation, science based studies not a ban and prohibition! It will only hurt people and take away the safest option they have. It’ll push people to the streets again back to fentanyl which actually kills people. Responsible adults should have a choice of what they put in their bodies. The media and propaganda against kratom and 7oh is all lies and fear mongering. Science and fact based studies needed. Regulation not prohibition, it never works. Thank you!
