This bipartisan bill proposes to expand the eligibility requirements of net metering to allow larger commercial or institutional energy generators to act as members. The 20-year term, (standard in the energy sector) provides the certainty needed to unlock investment into clean energy financing for businesses, communities, investors, and developers. It takes incremental steps to increase the state's renewable energy capacity and expands the scope of net metering in NH.
