This is a bipartisan bill that allows a 20-year term, (standard in the energy sector) which provides the certainty needed to unlock investment into clean energy financing for businesses, communities, investors, and developers. With high energy costs continuing to challenge New Hampshire employers, the bill offers a meaningful opportunity to invest in affordable, local clean energy. This bill proposes to expand the eligibility requirements of net metering to allow larger commercial or institutional energy generators to act as members. It takes incremental steps to increase the state's renewable energy capacity and expands the scope of net metering in NH.
