I strongly believe that educators and school administrators are trained professionals who are best equipped to select appropriate educational materials. Granting individual parents outsized influence over curriculum decisions undermines that expertise and risks creating inconsistent, politicized standards across schools. Policies like this have historically led to the removal of diverse perspectives and can open the door to discrimination and racism.
