This bill opens the door for any public school material to be challenged. Educators have strong understanding of child development. They will use their professional training and knowledge to deem what should be in their schools and classrooms. We can trust them. As parents, it is inevitable that our kids will sometimes hear things that misalign with our family's values. If something comes up, we can use that as an opportunity to speak with our kids. This is a core aspect of parenting. As lawmakers you also have a duty to encourage parents to fulfill their obligations and to not put their beliefs on other families.
