Please vote NO on SB 434. It's yet another overly broad, eminently veto-able attempted book ban in NH. It's problematic because: It contains vague definitions that could apply to any number of valuable and legitimate books. It puts decision-making in the hands of a single individual with no public process or opportunity for input. It's yet another override of local control over our school libraries and curriculum materials, at a time where the state actively seeks to reduce its obligation to fund local schools.
