I attended several GACIT meetings for the 10 – Year Highway plan, and in every single one, there was perhaps one single individual who did not want us to increase credits or the gas tax to pay for projects. I have heard from several.D.O.T. officials that one penny would bring roughly $8 million of revenue, and that only a single nickel of increase in gas tax would be enough to pay for all projects in the next 10 years. As someone who lives with a disability, and is therefore unable to drive, any efforts to increase transportation in the state should be pursued. Please consider vote Ought to Pass on this critical bill.
