I oppose SB 223 because it deliberately targets college students by removing their IDs from the list of acceptable voter identification, even though they are legally eligible to vote. Voting and in-state tuition rules are separate, and this bill creates unnecessary barriers, turning away eligible voters and sending the message that some voters are less welcome than others.
