I oppose SB 101. This is a bill that imposes a tremendous burden on public schools, their administrators, teachers, parents, and, ultimately children, as it diverts attention and resources away from their education and redirects it to manage the unprecedented administrative and budget uncertainties open enrollment would introduce. While open enrollment, on its face, may sound like a policy that gives parents the freedom to choose the best schools for their children, in actuality, it introduces complexities across districts that undermine the whole system of public education. If SB 101 passes, everybody loses. I join with the vast majority of NH citizens registering their opposition to this bill and urge you to exercise the will of the people as their elected representatives by opposing SB 101.
