This bill creates an illusion of choice, not actual choice, and at the expense of homeowners like me. School districts are already stretched trying to keep up with the costs of running our own local public schools. This legislation will only make that harder by requiring us to send local property tax dollars away from our own schools to other districts to pay tuition to other schools, but the only people who can actually take advantage of this so called choice are people with the resources and time to transport their students themselves and cover any gap in tuition.
